Photos: I love UAE

On 2 December 1971, the United Arab Emirates (interesting Wiki entry) came into being, a country formed of seven states. Abu Dhabi and Dubai are the most well known. Our arrival, on the 2nd, meant that we got the full patriotic experience. We especially delighted in the 'pimped rides' decked out in the National flag, images of UAE's 'father' sheik Zayed and various accessories. These cars were cruising around town, there to be seen. Love it!

It took the friendly owner 'only two days' to do this to his car. The stickers wash off and each was individually hand-cut from a sheet. He was still adding more when we met him.

Coloured feathers and a complete car wrap of images of Sheik Zayed.
The stickers wash off with soap and water.

Yes, tinsel. The whole car is covered in a tinsel flag. I spoke to the driver briefly and he was delighted for me to photograph his vehicle. It must have taken him days to do this and certainly hundreds of strips of the stuff. In the sun his car was sparkling. Absolutely beautiful!
